Terms and Conditions

All clubs registering for the promotion must comply with the terms and conditions set by the Daily Record and Sunday Mail Limited.

  1. Only youth football teams in Scotland are eligible to participate. Teams must be affiliated to the Scottish Youth Football Association (SYFA) with an SYFA registration number or be a school team. Team members must be between seven and 21 years old.
  2. Participation will be strictly limited to the first 400 teams that register on the promotion website on a first come first served basis. Teams will be informed on successful registration by email.
  3. Registration will be limited to two teams per club. Each team will need to register with a different email address.
  4. Promoter reserves the right to maintain a list of ‘reserve’ teams and may substitute teams on this list in place of registered teams who withdraw from the promotion.
  5. Promoter also reserves the right to invite teams on the reserve list to participate at any time.

Token Collection

  1. Only official tokens printed in the Daily Record and Sunday Mail will be eligible.
  2. No photocopies, damaged, defaced or illegible tokens will be accepted. At least 7 tokens will be published in a week in the Daily Record and Sunday Mail.
  3. Tokens will be published for a ten week period only. Saturday March 13, 2010 – Friday May 21, 2010.
  4. Bonus tokens will be published at the discretion of the promoter.
  5. Deadline for receipt of tokens is Friday June 4, 2010. We strongly recommend participants return tokens in suitable packaging by recorded/registered/guaranteed delivery as soon as possible.
  6. Proof of postage is not proof of receipt.
  7. The number of tokens required for each package is absolute and final and will be strictly applied. No exception will be made for any shortfall.
  8. No correspondence will be entered into.
  9. The promoter reserves the right to disqualify and exclude from the promotion any participating team in respect of invalid or non genuine tokens which are submitted.
  10. The decision of the independent handling house of the validity of any token shall be final.
  11. The promoter reserves the right to exclude any token submitted which is, in the opinion of the independent handling house, ungenuine or otherwise invalid.

Kit and Training Gear

  1. Only kit and equipment styles and colours illustrated on this website are available.
  2. The packages available to all registered teams are:
    Package 1 – Rain Jackets
    Squad of 10 – 1000 tokens
    Squad of 16 – 1600 tokens
    Package 2 – Training Tops
    Squad of 10 – 2000 tokens
    Squad of 16 – 3000 tokens
    Package 3 – Team Kit Long sleeved top, shorts and socks (includes a keeper’s kit)
    Squad of 10 – 3200 tokens
    Squad of 16 – 5000 tokens
    Package 4 –Team Kit, Rain Jacket And Training Tops
    Squad of 10 – 6,200 tokens
    Squad of 16 – 9,600 tokens
  3. All kit and equipment will be provided only in sizes – YXS (6-7) XXS (8-9) XS (10-11) S M L XL XXL as indicated by participating club at registration stage. We cannot split sizes on any of the kit.
  4. All kit will be branded with the Daily Record and Sunday Mail.
  5. All training equipment will be branded in various places dictated by space available. No other sponsor logo will be attached to kit, on request or otherwise.
  6. All kit and equipment will be provided without the attachment of individual club badge/crest/embroidery. All team kit will be numbered 1-17 excludes number 13.
  7. All kit and equipment will be available to be collected from designated handler in Scotland on a date to be specified to participating teams during the course of the promotion. No postage facility is available. We will endeavour to have local pick-up points throughout Scotland.
  8. Promoter reserves the right to substitute any items of kit and equipment, colours, styles and manufacturer with that of an equal or greater value.
  9. All kit will be delivered by August 31, 2010. Promoter reserves the right to alter delivery due to unforeseen circumstances.
  10. You cannot return or exchange any kit or training gear ordered.


Trinity Mirror Newspapers

  1. Promoter reserves the right to substitute any items of kit and equipment, colours, styles and manufacturer with that of an equal or greater value.
  2. Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant suspected of improper redemption.
  3. All kit will be delivered by August 31, 2010. Promoter reserves the right to alter delivery to due to unforeseen circumstances.
  4. Promoter cannot be held responsible for an act of God or other unforeseen circumstances.
  5. Tokens are not redeemable for cash.
  6. No cash alternative will be given in lieu of kit and equipment. Promoter's (MGN) decision is final.
  7. No purchase necessary. Kits for Kids tokens are available on day of publication from the Daily Record office, One Central Quay, Glasgow G3 8DA.
  8. All teams participating in the promotion must agree to co-operate for publicity purposes.

Trip to Italy

  1. The team with the most amount of verified tokens in total will win a trip to Parma in Italy.
  2. The trip will be a two-night break to Parma. Flights will be from Prestwick Airport.
  3. All team members who are travelling must have a valid passport.
  4. The prize includes return flights from Prestwick, transfers, accommodation plus breakfast and evening meal.
  5. Spending money is not included.
  6. The prize excludes travel insurance.
  7. The date for the trip is still to be confirmed.
  8. The prize is for up to 16 children and up to six adults. All adults must be registered officials of the club and have enhanced disclosure through the SYFA.
  9. Each passenger needs to apply to the strict baggage allowance operated by the carrier.
  10. The winning team must organise their own transport to Prestwick Airport.

Play at Hampden

  1. Four teams will play at Hampden. They will be selected in the following way. The first two teams will earn a place due to coming second and third in the list of teams which collects most tokens. They will play against the teams in their specific age groups which have collected the next highest number of tokens. e. g, If second place in the token list goes to an under-15 team, that team will play against the team in the under-15 age group which has collected the next highest number of tokens. The same criteria will be used to select the opposition for the third placed team.
  2. The Play at Hampden prize is only open to teams who have not yet won this prize. If you are a team who has already won this prize as part of the Daily Record and Sunday Mail's Kits for Kids promotion you cannot participate.
  3. In the event of a draw where two teams have the same amount of tokens, the winning team will be drawn at random.
  4. The Editor's decision is final.
